At MediMax Super Multi Speciality Hospital, Varanasi, we strive to provide transparent, fair, and patient-friendly policies for cancellations and refunds. This policy outlines the terms under which cancellations are accepted and refunds are processed.


1. Appointment Cancellations

  • Patients may cancel or reschedule their appointments at least 24 hours in advance without any charges.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee.
  • In case the hospital cancels or reschedules the appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, no cancellation charges will apply.

2. Hospital Admissions & Procedures

  • For elective surgeries or planned admissions, cancellations made 72 hours before admission will be eligible for a full refund (after deducting any administrative charges).
  • If a cancellation is made within 72 hours of admission or surgery, a portion of the booking amount may be retained to cover pre-surgery/pre-admission expenses.
  • Emergency admissions are non-refundable, except in cases where treatment could not be provided due to hospital reasons.

3. Diagnostic Tests & Packages

  • Diagnostic tests or health packages cancelled 12 hours before the scheduled slot are eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations within 12 hours may attract a 25% deduction from the total amount.
  • If the test/service has already been performed, no refund will be issued.

4. Refund Processing Timeline

  • Approved refunds will be processed within:
    • 7–10 business days for online/card/UPI payments.
    • 10–15 business days for insurance/third-party settlements.
    • Cash payments will be refunded from the hospital billing counter within 3 working days.
  • Refunds will be credited to the original mode of payment only.
  • Patients will receive a confirmation email/SMS once the refund is initiated.

5. Non-Refundable Services

  • Emergency consultations, ambulance charges, consumables (medicines, injections, disposables), and partially availed services are non-refundable.
  • Registration fees or doctor consultation charges already rendered are not refundable.

6. Dispute Resolution

  • In case of disputes regarding cancellation or refund eligibility, the final decision will rest with the Hospital Administration.
  • Patients may raise any concerns directly with the hospital billing department.
